Xi'an Travel FAQ

Is Xi'an worth visiting for food?

Yes. Xi'an is one of China's most useful food cities for visitors because many signature dishes are easy to identify, filling, and available near central sightseeing areas.

Can I see the Terracotta Warriors and city wall in one day?

It is possible, but it can feel rushed. A better first-time plan is to give the Terracotta Warriors their own main block and keep the city wall for a separate morning or late afternoon.

Is Xi'an food spicy?

Some noodle dishes use chili oil, but Xi'an food is not uniformly spicy. Roujiamo, paomo, and many breads or dumplings are manageable for mild eaters.
